Gurney Environmental, a water and wastewater engineering company based in West Norfolk, is a well established company within the industry who have built up a comprehensive range of in-house developed and manufactured as well as imported sustainable water and wastewater treatment solutions. These products and technologies are marketed to industrial as well as municipal customers. Our systems and applications are successfully used in many national and international locations.

Our recent expansion has created an exciting opportunity to further develop the sales of our unique product range including new-to-the-UK innovative systems with a wide variety of potential applications.

Job Description

The primary role of the Environmental Sales Person will be to prospect for new clients by networking, cold-calling, following up on advertising response or other means of generating interest from potential clients. They must plan and execute persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company. They must develop a rapport with new clients, set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. They are also required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients. 

Main Duties

  • New business development. 

  • Customer liaison and management. 

  • Preparing and delivering presentations. 

  • Providing advice on appropriate and effective solutions.

  • Preparing and delivering quotes.

  • Oversee delivery and installation of projects.

  • Customer support and training.

Qualifications

Good presentational, communication and computer literacy are a must, along with a confident personality and an entrepreneurial spirit. Ideal applicants will have a background of business development in the water/wastewater sector with a minimum of 3 years experience.
