Gurney Environmental Supply Anglian Water With An Aero-Fac® System

Gurney Environmental has supplied Anglian Water with the Aero-Fac® system for their waste water treatment plant Facility near Welney in Norfolk. Aero-Fac® is a no-sludge waste water treatment system which offers a number of unique benefits, not least of which is a self-digesting sludge process that requires no pre-screening, sedimentation tanks, clarifiers, sludge removal, dewatering, chemicals or conditioning.

Gurney Environmental Provides New Treatment Facility At Windsor Estate

Following use of an Aero-Fac® system on Sandringham Estate for 6 years, Gurney Environmental was contacted by the Crown Estate to examine solutions for Windsor Estate. The old 1960-era filter works in the middle of the Great Park at Windsor needed replacement. Wastewater from Cumberland Lodge Conference Centre and a small housing complex created problems with intermittent flow and load due to the nature of the wastewater source. The design population was 500 pe. Gurney Environmental designed a two cell Aero-Fac® system to treat the wastewater from Cumberland Lodge and the housing complex to meet quality suitable for discharge into Great Meadow Pond.

Anglian Water Commission Fourth 
"Advanced Lagoon" PTS Wastewater Treatment System

In 2008 Anglian Water started construction on an unusual and somewhat unique wastewater treatment plant for the village of Sutton St. James in the Lincolnshire fens. A first for Anglian Water and, indeed, for any English water company, the wwtp was a significant departure from what had previously been the norm. Understandably, the new design was subjected to extensive capex, opex and carbon footprint scrutiny by the Anglian Water team. In the end, the Aero-Fac® treatment system was chosen as the best solution for their customers at Sutton St. James.
